Australia’s harshness and beauty have been distinctive influences in David’s life. Growing up in the Australian bush has left David with lasting memories of interesting characters and the challenges they face living life in the outback. Although David now lives surrounded by beautiful beaches and lush hinterland, his success has not changed his connection to his roots, nor his passion and determination to keep reaching for new heights.
David looks to express new things as he learns more about life. He paints from his soul and produces work that reflects his love of painting.
David’s Limited Edition Fine Art Reproductions are the highest quality expression of his original artworks. The state of the art giclée process allows the original work to be reproduced on museum quality fine art canvas using the best light fast inks in the world making them fade resistant for over 100 years. Each individual reproduction is hand produced in Australia by master craftsmen printers. Museums around the world such as the Louvre in Paris and the Guggenheim in the USA now use this exact giclée process for reproducing the originals for display so the original artworks can remain in the museums vaults.
This fine art process is labour intensive as David works closely together with the master craftsmen to ensure each individual reproduction represents the integrity of the original painting. Once this is achieved the reproduction is returned to David’s studio where he hand signs and numbers each individual work then the limited Fine Art Reproduction is assigned it’s own hand signed certificate of authenticity.
45 reproductions in the collection are referred to as “Master Works”. Master Works are limited Fine Art Reproductions that are returned to David’s easel for hand embellishing by the artist himself. This is a time consuming process taking hours even days to complete, as David recreates as closely as possible the techniques used in each original painting. From delicate brush strokes or palette knife textures, through to vibrant splashes and drizzles of colour, David recreates the textured finish and emotion of the original, defining each as a unique masterwork.
In each collection there is an edition of 495 limited to only 150 editions of each of the 3 sizes. The remaining 45 reproductions in the collection are referred to as “Master Works”.
David Hart fine art reproductions are extremely collectable resulting in very limited availability per country. Once an edition of 495, sells out completely, each Fine Art Reproduction in that series increases by 40% in value.
Also available are open edition Fine Art reproductions which are printed with the same technique onto Elite Cotton Rag (paper). These are beautifully framed under glass.
